Toy Satellite is establishing a low-end, low-cost wireless network in the Remy Lane/Queens Parade Precinct, Fitzroy North, Melbourne, Australia. The project is part of the embryonic free2air network, but not necessarily exclusive to it. Kindly hosted by Ambient TV, organised by youarehere, an East End wireless workshop was held on the 16-17th February.
With a focus on making about seven homemade helical antennae, the tireless hardware and demonstrating efforts from raylab helped make the event a success in technical, community, and personal networking.
