Toy Satellite has proposed to conduct the following through the course of its contribution towards free2air.
- Establish a free2air Internet gateway at Toy Satellite.
- Install a suitable aerial and establish line of site with collaborating free2air partners in Collingwood/Fitzroy.
- Encourage and support the emergence of an inclusive Collingwood/Fitzroy free2air footprint, supporting additional points of presence.
- Install low-cost streaming server and provide on-demand and scheduled real-time audio/video trial netcasts, perhaps partner with an existing broadcaster (eg. 3CR).
- Seek funding to document the process as well as research legal implications of such a network, both as content provider and broadcaster.
- Provide the free2air.org group with necessary documentation and consultation to ensure their online resources can support the deployment of such networks in both urban and rural locations, specifically within the Pacific Rim.
- Explore possibilities for free2air wireless implementation in marginalised communities (eg. East Timor, Philippines, Bangladesh) in partnership with emergent low-cost networking initiatives.
